To begin in Thursdays class we spoke in groups about our developed intuitive maps and gravitational pulls. Talking about the maps was useful in terms of generating ideas and seeing how what we were looking at conveyed to others. It was able to help clarify what was important in the space for me and what was less so.
We looked at a range of documents Lucy had brought in for us and enjoyed some 4 ingredient brownie that Rachel made (personal highlight, it was delicious) before moving onto our modelling exercise using 4 materials.
Using words from our intuitive map we wrote twelve words down, one in each square of paper. We then cut the paper up into twelve squares. Without looking at the squares we dealt them out into six pairs of words. From the two word pairs we create small models or drawings combining the words in relation to our chosen site. Each of the six pairs was done on a time limit that increased as we moved through which was good as it meant we didn’t have time to overthink anything we were doing, it became more intuitive. After all six models or drawings were done I then photographed them with their words. (I also used more than 4 materials, oops)
